Naldra is a world that long ago fell victim to a great cataclysm. Ninety-nine percent of the population was wiped out in one night. They simply crumbled to dust where they stood, without cause, without warning. Shortly after came the waves of monsters, hundreds of thousands coming from every direction. Over half the world’s remaining population were eaten alive. The remaining survivors escaped. All of them reported the same sensation of being called somewhere. In one location, the survivors gathered, and began constructing a city. This safe haven was kept safe from monsters by some unseen force. What was once a great a flourishing world has been reduced to one city. The grand powers of the arcane were lost, as were many of the secrets of forging and of combat. Now, three thousand years after this great tragedy, the citizens are being called upon to adventure outside the farmlands which border the city, and reclaim the lost arts of magic and technology.
